Publisher's summary

David and Vanesa are ready to call it quits. After five years of marriage, neither one of them can even stand to look at the other. But when a final, desperate attempt to save their marriage lands them in couples therapy, David and Vanesa are forced to look back on their roller coaster of a relationship and uncover where exactly they went wrong.

Filled with humor and emotion and told through a set of flashbacks spanning their decade-long relationship, Saying Goodbye is a story about meeting the right person at the wrong time and fighting to make it work.

Episode 1: "Before the End of the World"

While attending their first session of couples therapy, David and Vanesa reminisce about the first time they met—at an "End of the World Party" more than a decade prior.

Episode 2: "Dating-ish"

As the session continues, David and Vanesa recount the moment they became more than just friends … and how Vanesa struggled with putting a label on their relationship.

Episode 3: "Like Romeo & Juliet"

It's 2015, and Vanesa and David are together … but still not putting a label on things. After a night of drinking with friends, David decides to take a big swing in his relationship with Vanesa.

Episode 4: "Let's Get Hitched"

A year later, Vanesa is engaged to David and celebrating her 25th birthday. But when a surprise guest shows up to her party, Vanesa makes an (another) impulsive decision.

Episode 5: "The Big Mistake"

David and Vanesa describe the moment their relationship hit a rough patch. After two years of marriage and one major argument, David makes a choice he can never take back.

Episode 6: "Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner"

A year after his mistake, David is still legally married to Vanesa, but they're living separate lives. But a new opportunity presented to Vanesa might just make that separation official.

Episode 7: "Llévame contigo"

As Vanesa flourishes in LA, a potential new suitor enters the picture. Meanwhile, back in New York, David struggles to move on.

Episode 8: "Amor eterno"

David travels to LA to sign the divorce papers, but an undeniable spark between the couple forces them to reconsider their decision. In the present, a sudden bombshell rocks Vanesa and David's world.

Love it! With the king involved, it can’t go wrong.

I really enjoyed the story. The ups and downs of a relationship made it feel realistic. They even included all the city sounds etc. making it like a real novella. Then you add the voice of “the king”. I loved it. I hope there’s a bit more to come because there is no way this novella can end like that.
