Now, 30 years later, Lauren is on a relentless quest for justice. Over the past four years, she’s embarked on an emotional journey filled with unexpected twists, recording hundreds of hours of interviews with law enforcement, family, friends, and even potential suspects. Her mission: to finally uncover the identity of Lori’s killer.

There’s a new break in the case when Lauren gets new information about her mother’s autopsy report. And a huge moment arrives when Lauren testifies in front of the Rhode Island legislature on behalf of cold case victims.
Episode 9: "The Video Call"
An associate of Lauren’s biological father confesses to being present when her mom was murdered. But can he believed?
Episode 10: "Other Kinds of Justice"

Story
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

Story
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

The plane is jam-packed. Every seat is taken. So of course the flight is delayed! Flight attendant Allegra Patel likes her job—she’s generally happy with her life, even if she can’t figure out why she hooks up with a man she barely speaks to—but today is her twenty-eighth birthday. Story
Ta-Nehisi Coates originally set out to write a book about writing, in the tradition of Orwell’s classic “Politics and the English Language,” but found himself grappling with deeper questions about how our stories—our reporting and imaginative narratives and mythmaking—expose and distort our realities. In the first of the book’s three intertwining essays, Coates, on his first trip to Africa, finds himself in two places at once: in Dakar, a modern city in Senegal, and in a mythic kingdom in his mind.

Mind blowing!
Once I started listening I couldn’t stop. Lauren is an amazing human being who unfortunately is doing what should’ve been done many years ago. She submerges herself so deep into her own investigation truly leaving no stone unturned. Her tenacity to never give up turned all her no’s into a yes because no wasn’t an option. She is creating true change for the state of Rhode Island and beyond turning her pain into purpose by not only solving her Mom’s murder, but helping other victims and their families have resources and a voice. Her heart is so real and raw which without a doubt is her beautiful and free spirited Mom guiding her from above and so proud of her. This is one you don’t want to miss and prepare yourself to buckle up!

Captivating and heart wrenching
Could not stop listening! Lori and Lauren Malloy's story is filled with heart, determination, and a love between mother and daughter that truly transcends life and death. Lauren's endless pursuit of answers to bring justice to her mother's memory is nothing short of inspiring. Lauren brings the listener along on this journey with a series of interviews, notes left by her mom, and her own thoughts as she unravels her own mom's murder mystery, The series kept my mind and senses engaged, bringing me to tears at several points. There are no obstacles this daughter will not face. There are no dead ends to this mystery. I have no doubt that Lauren will find complete closure and justice for her mom. The celebratory day will come, and will come soon. And in the meantime, the successes Lauren has achieved along the way to that finish line are worth the time to listen. Go #TeamSledDog !!!

Better than fiction murder mystery, much more devastating because this is the story of a real east coast family tragedy.
