Publisher's summary

The fight is on for the soul of resurrected America, and the good guys are losing.

Tom Steeple and his Chinese allies have taken control of Overtime Prime, and with the fall of Nick Angriff their opposition is powerless to stop them. Steeple’s dream of a totalitarian America under his hand as benevolent dictator can now become a reality, even if it means making common cause with America’s mortal enemies. No treachery is too great to fulfill his ambitions, and those of his friends.

But American patriotism doesn’t die that easily, and Steeple just might find out that men and women still exist to protect those who can’t protect themselves. Regardless of the odds, some people take their service oaths seriously, even unto death.

Such courage always has a cost, though, and this time the cost is high.

Very high.

Enjoyed this book

Great book but you killed off too many of one side and not enough of the other. Just kidding, realize the next book is the one to look forward to. Thanks for a good read.

"Nick the A" is back!

The supposed death of General Angriff throw General Steeples’ plans into disarray. To compound his problems, not all of Operation Overtime is willing to recognize the military coup or follow his orders. Steeples has made allies of the Chinese, and that isn’t winning him any votes either. His next long-range plan is to offer the same olive branch to the Muslim Caliphate of the New Prophet contingent, called “The Sevens”. Green Ghost and Junker Jane go hunting when GG learns of Adders' existence. Joe Randall and George “Bunny” Carlos are held captive by an Air Force Colonel. Dennis Tompkins, Sara and Laura Snow Tiger, Dave Zuckerman, and John Tibidoe are pinned down by the Sevens in a cave. Out of curiosity, who was the old man that spoke to Angriff and left the jacket in the desert? The Americans of Operation Overtime were in a full-scale battle in several locations. First the Chinese, second, the army of the Caliphate, and then the defense of Shangrila. It was intense fighting, desperate and bloody. Great story. I liked it very much.
