Publisher's summary

In a land on the brink of war, Gryff Worden discovers his family slaughtered, his farm in ruin.

Mortally wounded, he stumbles upon a timekeeper, an old woman of the northern forests, one who tracks the infinite paths of each life. She offers him a sunwield, a medallion promising to return him to the pivotal choices that swayed his life's journey. Her only condition - he must wear the bronze charm until the end.

Now his story remakes itself, casting him backward in time to moments of decision and death. His old life gone, he no longer remembers the purpose of the medallion burning his chest. As he uncovers the sunwield’s power, new choices lead him on an epic adventure through war, death, friendship, life, and love.

Great story, action, and narration!

The characters are great and the magic story device is a really fun way to explore the timeline of a persons life and choices. For me, what works best is the description of the battle scenes. This is a war story and sometimes it’s easy to get lost in battle scenes and have no clue what’s going on. The author did a wonderful job describing the tactics and TJ Clark narrates it in such a way that you can really see it in your mind. Great story, great action.

Great concept, good story

I really liked the story overall. The narrator starts out a bit overdone at first, but really hits his stride by the end. I enjoyed this book and would read others by this author. I’d like to see the concept expanded on and from different points of view.

It’s a slow start.

The story starts of rather slow. I honestly almost lost interest. I kept pushing. It does pick up and gets rather good. My only complaint is the voice actor. He’s not bad. Just when the sentences are longer he sometimes goes monotone. Overall I recommend this story if you’re into any type of fantasy or even strategic warfare. The author did their research.

Good Story, maybe a little repetitive

The narrator of this book was great. Good voices and brought the story to life for me.
The world building is excellent. You feel like this world is well though out, and real.
The story was also good. It reminded me of Groundhog Day, except instead of repeating every day he only repeats occasionally (and that it's medieval fantasy). Because of that it does at times get a little repetitive, but it is still worth reading. It is a war story and if you like highly detailed descriptions of battle (though not particularly graphic) then you will enjoy this. If you don't like this style those scenes, they don't last too long and I think that you will find the rest of the book enjoyable enough to be worth reading. I would recommend this book to others
