So many things to mention. Love the change in cover. Maya Nicole is a talented author that this is one of 4 series in the same world and actually this book kicked the world off. This book does have some billing in it. And you can feel the main character’s pain. At the same time you understand why the guys do it. The narrators are terrific at making the characters come to life through your speakers as well.

So excited this book is audiobook

The narrators were fabulous. They did nothing make and female characters amazing and did the younger voices smoothly where you felt like a child was talking.

The story is okay. It kind of jumps around and is choppy. The male characters are torn on whether to be mean or to not. The girl is not a strong lead and so there’s no true blow back others then one scene. She just seems to accept everything and just keep going until the next thing happens. She then cries about it and continues until it repeats. The story ended (cliffhanger) just as I was actually getting into it. Will I listen to the next one? Yep because I am curious about the mysterious admiral and hope it will redeem the first book. Also there seems to possibly be a third player in this story line and I’m curious if I am right.

Indifferent characters. Who cares what happens to them?

The narration is absolutely terrible!! Not even close to sub-par / mediocre. Barely made it through because of this! Authors should review narratives to ensure the person reading is not destroying what they've worked si hard on!
