A Fine Collection, Well Narrated

This is a good collection for listening in that they are mostly easily followed, I could listen while commuting and enjoyed the stories. “Mermaids” was slightly too youthful for my personal taste but really there is nothing wrong with the story. It is more of a children story and others were more for slightly older listeners. But I always like reading more Louisa May Alcott. Thank You

Excellent collection

Excellent collection of various styles of American short stories, some of which I've not actually heard before. Narrators are excellent.

Fantastic Listen

The short stories were the best and most enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the classic Twain Jumping Frog story because the narrator kept me laughing and on the edge of my seat the whole time! And the narrator for Rip Van Winkle was perfect - at first I thought he was rather droll and dull but I was so mistaken! Perfect lullaby tactic to lull me into the story and captivating me to the very end. I never heard Alcott's story of the mermaid but it was delightful with perfect narration! Enjoyed these stories and worth it.

Not interesting.

Skipped, skipped, skipped. Found these stories not worth my time. Audible doesn' t give good book without paying extra.
