Publisher's summary

A collection of short stories written by seven award-winning authors during the first four months of the COVID-19 lockdown. Each author brings a unique perspective to the crisis, and the results are spectacular. There is science fiction, Christian apologetics, horror, drama, suspense, and a dose of comfort. Produced daily during the first 13 weeks of the lockdown, you can see the change in thinking, hopes, and frustration that the public was experiencing.

While written from a Christian world view, it's not preachy. In fact, it's far from traditional Christian fiction and brings a breath of fresh air to the flash fiction world from accomplished authors. This was a labor of love for the authors, and it shows through the carefully crafted stories.

An Unexpected Delight

Every time you think you know where the stories are headed, they take a left turn, then another left turn, then they go over a cliff, sprout wings, and fly off into the sunset. It was a joy to listen to each story, and the narration is top notch. The narrator brings life to the words and makes the characters dance in your mind. I wholeheartedly recommend.

An eclectic collection of tales that truly engage

Far from the usual Christian fiction collection, these stories are from Christian authors stuck in a world with a pandemic. Each author brings a flair to the mix, and it makes for a listening delight.

The audio is also very good, as the narrator is smooth voiced while bringing life to the stories.

You will find yourself transported to new worlds and stories as old as the Garden.

When Fiction is Stranger than Truth

Confession time. Yes. I am one of the authors of this book. So why am I reviewing it? I met aBle Courtemanche four years ago and discovered he had written a page-turner of a thriller. (Still waiting for the sequel) He is friends with five other authors and proposed writing some flash fiction to help folks keep their sanity during the pandemic. And while their stories may just help you do that, I discovered some of my fellow authors are truly insane. Insanely good, that is. So, do you like mystery? The book has it. Romance? Got it. Horror? That, too. Inspiration? Yup. This book truly has something for everyone, and all narrated in the velvety rich baritone of Joseph Courtemanche.
