Great Book

I love this series and can’t wait for the next one. Th narrator changed over the last two book. Her pronunciation of the names of the Gods and the city of Nice (which should be pronounced like the American word niece, not American word nice) in the books drives me insane, but overall great listen.

I can’t take the mispronounced words

The books are really interesting but the narrator pronounces a ton of words incorrectly and it drives me nuts. I enjoyed the first three so much! The story is excellent!

Great series

I'm really enjoying the series. The narrator though needs to look up some words before recording because she mispronounces some things. it's a little annoying.

Haven’t even finished listening yet

And had to write this down. Where the heck did they find the female reader?? And when did ANYONE prounounce Hecate’s name as Heck-ate????? WTF?! Or Heracles’ name as HERCULES??? 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ (at least Hercules became the popular name he was known as BUT it sure as heck ain’t spelled that way!!! And yes, ironically, my grammar is going to be all wrong because I am annoyed AF!) Rant over. I’ll be surprised if I could get through this audible. If I throw my phone I will have to finish the book old school and actually read it

The beep!!

It was hard to incision the story through a beep that I can only assume is a fire detector in need of a new battery. Sadly it was a bad experience.

THESE NARRATORS SUCK!!!

You need to get new narrators now! Both are awful. I gave up on them learning how to pronounce the characters names correctly but to not be able to pronounce regular words correctly is just horrible. I don't know how you people approved the second seasons recordings, did you not even listen to them at all before publishing?! Until you get the old narrators back I would not recommend this seasons books at all. The awful reading is just too bad and distracting which sucks considering the actual story is good.

Despise the female narrator

Vanessa Moyen was great in the first three books. The female narrator in the second series is awful. Too slow, mispronunciations, and generally irritating.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Ther new narrararors do suck, as others have said. Absolutely horrible reading skills for a narrator. I was able to finally get over my aversion to all of the character names being pronounced completely different from books 1-3, but almost every other word was pronounced wrong. SPOILERS COMING NOW. I don't know about other people's thoughts on this but an angry pissy possessive woman like Melany just giving up her man like this is leading up to, and Lucian just falling for Cassandra like this is really pissing me off!! I am well aware of what it is leading up to for Melany, but the way the other books were written it made it seem like she would have both men. No matter how this plays out in the next books, I don't think there is any fixing this love triangle/square in my mind.

Atrocious narration

Seriously? Does no one bother to double check the narration before it’s published? Celina Saucedo mispronounced SO many words, including completely basic, everyday words (library, not li-bear-y). It was embarrassing to listen to this. On top of which, if you’re reading a book based loosely on Greek mythology, you might consider checking the correct pronunciation of the gods’ names. So so bad.
