Story
When Heather McKinley dreamed of becoming a doctor, she imagined curing sick kids and sporting pink stethoscopes. She never anticipated the sleepless nights, grueling exams, and endless labs. And she certainly never knew that her medical school earned the nickname Dead Med thanks to the tragic history of students overdosing on illegal drugs. But Heather would never consider doing anything like that. That is, until her longtime boyfriend dumps her, she finds herself failing anatomy, and her world starts to crumble.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti - Dozens of names refer to the existence of a similar creature. Native American tribes have hundreds of stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. The Cherokee has one such story of a beast called Tsula 'kalu, who is said to be a forest-dwelling giant living in solitude covered in hair from head to foot. Many believe that the government is aware of Sasquatch, and to protect financial interests, they choose to cover up what they know. Many other theories permeate the landscape of cryptozoology, yet no scientific proof has ever been documented. ...

In this work on a subject too often dismissed as paranormal or disreputable, Jeffrey Meldrum gives us the first book on Sasquatch to be written by a scientist with impeccable academic credentials. He gives an objective look at the facts in a field mined with hoaxes and sensationalism. Meldrum reports on the work of a team of experts from a wide variety of fields who were assembled to examine the evidence for a large, yet undiscovered, North American primate. He reviews the long history of this mystery and explains all the scientific pros and cons in a clear and accessible style.

Drew Peters heads into the woods of the Upper Peninsula to hunt, like he does every November. Nothing out of the ordinary has ever happened. The other guys would agree that the hunt itself is the most exciting aspect. That, and getting away from their wives or kids for a little while. Eating some venison is proof that all that travel and patience behind their guns has truly paid off. But this time, something is different. Maybe it's the way the shadows fall in the forest surrounding their camp, or the smell just barely noticeable on the wind. A smell like garbage and something rotting mixed...

Interesting
I liked the main character but the story seemed to contradict itself. Spoilers: The old man lived on the mountain for years and suddenly that becomes a problem? What happened to the sheriff? Why was the beast 10 feet tall and bulletproof? I think this could have either been shortened (repetitive in areas) or lengthened to not be hurried at the end.
I do NOT like virtual voice. At all. It takes away from the experience.

Interesting story with good twists!
A veteran who has done his time and learned the jungle ways of survival and booby traps has an encounter with something that isn’t supposed to be real. That’s what they said, but this good ole boy begs to differ.
