Publisher's summary

She was wrong for him in every way but one....

Three years ago, undercover journalist Eleanor Jones published a story that led to Apollo's father's fatal heart attack. So, when the powerful and ruthless Greek billionaire discovers her working in his sister's palace, he knows she's up to no good! Not willing to risk more harm befalling his family, he kidnaps Eleanor, spiriting her away to his isolated Greek island. White sand, turquoise ocean, and all the privacy in the world - now if only he can resist falling under Eleanor's spell twice!

Eleanor Jones had fallen hard for Apollo, which made it impossible for her to write the story she'd been commissioned to research. Rather than betray the man she loved, she quit her job as a junior reporter. Only her editor took her notes and used them to publish the article that would go on to define Eleanor's career. Apollo will never forgive her for her part in his father's death, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want her.... Can the innocent Eleanor find a way around Apollo's shielded heart and remind him of what they once felt for one another?

Book one in the Evermore series, passionate stories about star-crossed lovers, destiny, and romance that sets your soul on fire.

Apollo and Eleanor!

Second chances are hard to come by, so when Apollo finds Eleanor in his sister's castle, he does what every hot blooded man does. He kidnaps her! OK, so there is more to the story than that, but what a fantastic plot we have. These two both are fiesty yet both are so vulnerable. Apollo is loyal to his family and with Eleanor's past, he thinks what he is doing is keeping his family safe. But what he doesn't realize is that his heart is in danger. Eleanor is too very loyal and would never do anything to hurt his family. What these two lack is some communication, leading to horribly hurtful misunderstandings and resulting in trust and love issues. It's packed full of passion and emotion, tugging at your heart and rooting for these two to finally see they are made for each other! I loved every minute of this struggle and am enjoying this series.

Meghan Kelly brings it all to life with her fantastic narration. She is so good, pulling out all the emotions and letting us in on every feeling. Her voices are always a great match for the characters and I just fall into her storytelling.

...hits me in the heart everytime.

It's a fight to the finish. The Greek's Virgin Captive proves itself an uphill climb when it comes to matters of the heart. Apollo and Eleanor stir up ever emotion imaginable. From the most vulnerable to the deepest tragedy, Connelly sets out to tie a heart in a thousand knots while taking control of the soul. I've read Clare Connelly off and on for years, but I have to say that she's at her best when in audio. There is a revitalization that adds a bit more depth to an already soulful tale. Kelly gives off that extra spark that hits me in the heart everytime.

The Greek’s Virgin Captive

A second chance romance at its finest. The narration was perfect and helped bring out all the emotions as well as bring it to life. I have enjoyed this series so far and look forward to the next.

Second Chances

This was a book full of strong emotions, passion, anger and love and for the most part, I enjoyed it although I did want to give both Apollo and Eleanor a good slap at times. The story is about Eleanor a journalist and Apollo a Greek tycoon and their thwarted love affaire. They met for the first time three years ago and fell in love. But all the time they were together whilst he was telling her his family's darkest secrets, she was making notes so she could write a story! To be fair she did resign rather than write the story but left all her notes on file so the story was written anyway by her editor.

As a result of her actions Apollo’s father suffered a heart attack soon after the article was published and died, Apollo held Eleanor accountable for betraying him and for the death of his father. He had loved her up until that point, for him it was a new experience having never loved or trusted a woman before her. After his father died, they parted ways, Apollo never having accepted her apology.

Fast forward 3 years and he finds her working undercover in his sister’s palace he knows that if she is discovered she will be imprisoned so kidnaps her, although she went on her own, he didn’t give her a choice. He took her to his private island where he intends to keep her until she agrees not to write her article. He can’t forgive what she did, and despite her promises and her signing an NDA he still won't let her go. They end up having sex but he refuses to accept that he loves her and is horrid to her. Eventually, he allows her to go home, but she is broken-hearted about what he said to her. Will they ever get past her mistake?

The narration of this one by Meghan Kelly was excellent and for me lifted the story.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Totally Captivating!

Eleanor Jones, a journalist and Apollo, a Greek billionaire have another chance at a happy-ever-after. Will they make a success of it or will they make a complete hash up?
This is a story of intense emotions - blissful happiness, abject sadness and perplexed bewilderment and all of these had me listening until I found out exactly what the end result would be.
I loved all the characters, I loved the story and I loved the narration.
It really is extremely well written by the very talented Clare Connelly. In fact every single book I have read or listened to of her's has been brilliant!
Then we have another very talented person in Meghan Kelly who does a remarkable job with the narration. Her voices are so consistently accurate that its hard to believe that it is the same person speaking but speaking in a different voice.
Brilliant work by two amazing artistes!
I requested and listened to the audiobook version and my voluntary and unbiased review is recorded above.

Can past dictate your present?

This is an emotional romantic story. Two people who have a deep love for each other, but fight it due to unforgivable mistake that one of them had made. This book has beautiful sceneries, a heavenly Greek island, a handsome guy and lots of love.

Eleanor made a huge mistake 3 years ago. And for the last three years, she is suffering from it. She lost her love and caused his father’s death. Can he ever forgive her?

The narrator was great. Each character had their own voice and personality. She has made this great book even more entertaining and captivating.

Sometimes it’s hard to let the past go

Eleanor just wants to live her life and write her articles. However when one tasked her back into the path of a former love who she has never gotten over what will ensue. I love that in this story the characters didn’t act like the past never happened but had to work through it and come to the realization of what they really wanted. Band aides rarely fix deep issues. Meghan Kelly did an outstanding narration on this story and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Loved it!

The story had my attention from the beginning to end. It’s well written & shows the intense chemistry between two people. I’ll be listening to Book #3 :) - need to see how it ends for these two.
The narration was outstanding! The voices were perfect for each character. I loved the slight British accent.

No way in Hades!

There is no way this realistic. We have a self-centered egotistical man and a whiney whimp of a girl! Second chances?? After he mentally beats her up for 3/4 of the book, then everything is just lovey dovey. No way in Hades! I won't be finishing the rest of the series. I really did like the first book!
