Who Killed Sandra

The Rose Diary
: Curtis Maynard

Amazing!!!

This novel is part murder mystery, coming of age, paranormal with characters that are believable. A group of tweens are out to help solve the murder of one of their older sister. The premise is good with the youngsters helping the police instead of doing it all themselves. The end has a cliffhanger.

This held my interest from start to finish. Now listening to the second book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Jess Combs.

The Rose Diary was an amazing, must listen/read!

This mystery had me guessing. A well done whodunit that I couldn’t quit listening until it was done. Then left me wanting more so I’ve already started book 2.
The characters are created well, the storyline easy to follow and the twists are crafty. Well done.

Great!

Really enjoyed the listen, very easy to follow. Only annoyance is the pronunciation of the main characters name but that's just me

Great Teen Paranormal Mystery!

This book is very well written. I’m not familiar with this author and I don’t read many mysteries but after reading this book I’m a big fan of this type of mystery. The author did an amazing job writing this book. It is so captivating and really hard to put down.

Narration was excellent! I was so enthralled with the story and the narrator brought it to life. There is nothing like listening to a great book by a very talented narrator.

I usually hate cliffhangers but this one was on point. It was the perfect spot to give hope and make you want to find out what happens next. I want to read the next book ASAP!

Brilliant

First person narrative during the first part of the book, which is well done; very descriptive writing.

Very well written. Rarely, if ever, have I listened to a full audiobook at one sitting (this is only 5 hours long, so that wasn't difficult), but this book had me enthralled from the start. Correction. The audio files I received are in two parts, each just over 5 hours.

I'm always reluctant to actually expose the plot of books I review. I personally dislike being spoiled with what is going to happen. Jaclyn's sister, Sandra, dies, and the family has to cope.  The book is told from Jaclyn's point of view throughout as she tries to deal with the loss and her feelings.

It turns out that Sandra did not die a natural death. Jackie and her friends are drawn into looking for evidence of the events surrounding her death, leading to some very surprising twists. Part 2 of the book is told in the third person.

This is an excellent book. As I said, very well written and very well narrated.
