Squeaky Clean Romance with a Lite Mystery

What did you love best about The Shamrock Case?

The narrator brought the book to a four star for me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rick Bonito is a great hero. He's fun and laid back. He brings authenticity to the book.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the twist at the end of the book was revealed, the plot became more engaging. Up to that point the plot is very slight. The mystery is lite, but I liked the twist and I would have liked that part to be developed more.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Linda Waver Clarke is an excellent wordsmith. If you like heavy travel details and squeaky clean romance set in Ireland, you will love the Shamrock Case Mystery.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to hearing another book by Linda Weaver Clarke, especially by this narrator.

A good cosy mystery

I liked the main characters of Amelia Moore and Rick Bonito and the obvious chemistry that lies between them. Although a stand alone, I would suggest you listen to these in order as the relationship between Amelia and Rick grows. Again narrated by Diane Lehman who did a good job with all the character voices.

This time they are off to Ireland with a new case to solve searching for Kate’s grandparents. This was a book filled with secrets and the intrigue, suspense, twists and turns satisfied my inner detective.

I love how through their cases, they tick off items on their bucket lists. It was also interesting to watch the push and pull of the relationship both business and personal between Amelia and a Rick.

Love the Ireland setting

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, it's a good, clean mystery with enough to keep you guessing the whole way through.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Shamrock Case?

The surprise twist towards the end that I did NOT see coming

Have you listened to any of Diane Lehman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, they were similar. Both very good. The only comment I would have is she did the main male voice a big arrogant. He came off kind of like a big-headed jerk because of the way she read his lines.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I smiled lots and shook my head in disbelief a few times.

Any additional comments?

I loved the Ireland background. I've never been there but I sure feel like I have been now!

Wonderful cozy

The Shamrock Case is Book 2 in the Amelia Moore Detective Series by Linda Weaver Clark. I enjoyed this audio book. I thought Diane Lehman did an outstanding job of narration. She brought this story to life. Amelia and her partner Rick take on a job of locating Kate's grandparents. Off to Ireland Amelia and Rick go and into a fast and furious job. I found the audio book interesting from beginning to end. I hope that Linda Weaver Clark writes book 3 because I would enjoy more of this team.

Sweet cozy mystery

This was a sweet and simple romantic mystery. Amelia Moore and her detective partner Rick Bonito head to Ireland to search for their client’s biological grandparents. This is book 2 of the Amanda Moore detective series. While I did not read book 1, this book stands on its own.

Amelia and Rick are both very likable characters. The plot is rather simple but it is very enjoyable telling some of Ireland's history, food, and culture. It is a good, clean story. This book would be very appropriate for teens and even preteens. It reminded me of the Nancy Drew books I read as a kid.

I love this series!

I read this book a little over a year ago. I enjoyed listening to it because I always get more out of a book when I both read and listen to it. I liked the way the author used different voices for the characters and felt them come more alive. Rick and Amelia are awesome together and I love their interactions. Since I've now read further into the series, I liked going back and remembering what made me fall in love with them in the first place. I loved visiting Ireland with Rick and Amelia and being reminded of their bucket lists. This is a series that I love, whether I read or listen to it!

Romance, mystery, and travel. Oh my!

This was another sweet and cute mystery detective book in the Amelia Moore Detective Series. Though I think you could read this book without having read the first in the series, I appreciated seeing how the relationship between the two lead characters develops, seeing the continuation of the theme of the "bucket list," and getting to know the characters develop. This is a very clean book - no foul language or sex scenes, which I appreciate. I liked the setting, which takes place in Ireland, and hearing about the different things to do there, as the main characters were visiting many "tourist attractions" to check off items on their respective bucket lists. There is also a twist at the end, which I loved, and it just made the whole story even better. I listened to the Audible audiobook and enjoyed the narration. The narrator has good pacing and differentiates between the characters well. If you are looking for a nice, clean book, and you like mystery and travel, I suggest giving this book (or this series) a try.

Charming Cozy Mystery Set on the Emerald Isle.

Any additional comments?

The Shamrock Case by Linda Weaver Clarke is another fun cozy mystery with a hint of romance and a wee bit of adventure. It is well written with great dialog that flows naturally. This book is the second story in the Amelia Moore Detective Series, which revolves around a detective agency that specializes in missing persons. In this story, Amelia is hired by Kate, a client who was adopted and who desires to learn more about her birth family. She seeks Amelia’s services because both of her parents died shortly after she was born.

As in the first Amelia Moore book, The Bali Mystery, Amelia seeks the assistance of Rick Bonito to help investigate. Besides uncovering Kate's heritage in Ireland and locating her grandparents and other extended family, Rick and Amelia had the opportunity to enjoy some sightseeing, which thankfully was detailed to perfection. They visited and toured a couple of castles, they heard real Irishmen signing in a traditional Irish pub, and they kissed the Blarney Stone! As a bonus, the relationship between Amelia and Rick developed into something more than mere friendship and Rick officially becomes Amelia business partner.

I listened to the Audible version of this audiobook narrated by Diane Lehman. Her narration was good with varying voices for each character. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest unbiased review. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this story immensely and intend to listen to the next book in the series once it comes out in audio.
