Calming and forgiving

I only learned to push myself, not embrace nor seek help. This audiobook does an amazing job of encouraging listeners to release the wounds from the past and start fresh with mindfulness and self-love. A Journey Worth Taking

Reading this book made me realize how much I was holding onto. This book offered me clarity about parts of myself I had neglected for years and provided me with straightforward steps to begin my healing process. The exercises were straightforward to execute while I noticed my barriers dissolving and healing my old traumas. A great guide for your library!

I was happy to have an opportunity to listen to this audiobook. The author does a great job of explaining each technique in great detail. One of the techniques is to write a letter to yourself. What a great way to approach something you did that needs healing or focus for that moment. I will use this technique, it's basically a nice way to say what you did is ok! She also covers negative self talk, which alot of us do just naturally. The author gives you some positive affirmation to combat this and what words are best to include in affirmation you write for yourself. I love that the author gives literally step by step how to's for meditation-like where to put your hands! This is great for the newbie and for those new to this type of healing. The narrator's voice is also so soothing and easy to listen to.

Vital for me as a parent

I saw this book and I knew that I needed to read it. I am a recently divorced father of four. I desperately want to parent my children in a way that leads them out of the trauma they experienced due to the divorce and also to ensure they do not carry on the generational trauma I brought into their lives. Certain portions were great for helping me see some of the correctible behaviors I do that sabotage many aspects in my life. The exercises were extremely helpful and will definitely bear fruit. The most impactful sections to me, however, were the sections on addressing the generational traumas and the related exercises. One practice that I am excited to implement in my healing journey are the healing through dance or movement exercises...they sound fun.
