Publisher's summary

Our intrepid heroes are caught in the middle of an epic showdown between good and evil in the fourth and final novel of the Wingfeather Saga.

All winter long, people in the Green Hollows have prepared for a final battle with Gnag the Nameless and the Fangs of Dang. Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli are ready and willing to fight alongside the Hollowsfolk. But when the Fangs make the first move and invade Ban Rona, the children are separated.

Janner is alone and lost in the hills; Leeli is fighting the Fangs from the rooftops of the city; and Kalmar, who carries a terrible secret, is on a course for the Deeps of Throg. Monsters and Fangs and villains lie between the children and their only hope of victory in the epic conclusion of The Wingfeather Saga.

Full of characters rich in heart, smarts, and courage, The Warden and the Wolf King is a tale children of all ages will cherish, families can listen to together, and book clubs are sure to enjoy discussing for its many layers of meaning.

Critic reviews

“The Wingfeather Saga is witty, imaginative, and full of heart. Highly recommended for middle-grade readers who’ve run out of Narnia novels and are searching for their next great series.” (Anne Bogel, creator of the Modern Mrs. Darcy blog and host of the What Should I Read Next? podcast)

“An experience your family will never forget. I can’t recommend these books highly enough!” (Sarah Mackenzie, author of The Read-Aloud Family and founder and host of the Read-Aloud Revival podcast)

Supersedes Narnia

might sound heretical but this series is even better than Chronicles of Narnia if you ask me. Not only does this book have an incredible story line, a million pictures of the gospel, and refreshing wit; it ministers to the soul, putting to words the shame so many experience and the hope that comes from the Maker. Thank you, Andrew, for helping a real life cloven have courage to sing the song of the ancient stone for healing. The stories really ARE real. And praise the Maker for it.

Beautiful!!!

Best book I’ve listened to in a looooong while! Full of awesome storytelling, principles, soul searching and virtues. Here I thought the author Andrew Peterson was just an amazing musician, well it turns out that the Wingfeather Saga shows how gifted The Maker blessed him. Thankyou so much Mr Peterson for such a beautiful story!

AMAZING BOOK!

I truly wish I could write as well as Andrew Peterson! What an ending, too (I won't say any more)! My favorite character might be Kalmar, honestly. but I really like Leeli and Gnag, as well.

Top Notch

Absolutely incredible, the writer has done astounding work with this series, I only wish there was more. The classical writing style and also the narration has been done beautifully.
