About this listen

During an unacknowledged mission inside the Syrian border, a government operative had unwittingly triggered an incredible worldwide event that irrevocably shaped the future of the United States. In the aftermath of the crisis, families have struggled to survive in a world short on food, water, and electricity. Hyperinflation cripples the United States economy, and postwar armored military vehicles are patrolling the streets. One man has now stepped forward and continues to push back the dark wave of tyranny brought on by martial law in the streets of America and may be the only hope of saving liberty for the country's future.

Amazing!

If I could write books it would be exactly how JL writes. Amazing book as always! Love the technical details, the writing style, the scavaging for supplies, the weapons, the story, everything! I need book #3 STAT! Maybe throw in a movie deal or at least Netflix or Prime original?

Great book. Would recommend.

Enjoyable book and performance.
I would definitely recommend to others looking for some fun fiction that’s still realistic enough to make you think.

A great sequel, must read

This is a well written sequel (most are not). The plot development was good along with characters.

nra stamp of approval

For post-apocalypse, these folks are pretty well provisioned. The author does a good job f it, though the nra rhetoric gets a bit thick, s does the contempt for those sheep-like people decimated by their government's ignorance and subsequent martial law. It's almost as if the author either takes this stuff seriously or hopes his readers will. Still, it's an entertaining read.

Scary thought. .. but so easy to keep listening

It's scary because it COULD happen, not because it did. Makes us realize how much of our own life-responsibilities we hand off to others then cry foul if our needs aren't met.
I mean do we really have a right to fresh water just because we waved our hand in front of a faucet at Wal-Mart?
