About this listen

Sparks fly until they find out they're enemies.

Ex-con Lacy has never been lucky in life or love, but that doesn't stop her from hoping for a fresh start. Then sparks fly with a handsome stranger while on the annual company retreat. Could this be her chance?

Except he turns out to be her boss' boss' boss, the billionaire CEO. Yeah, that's not going to happen. Especially since someone has recently stolen three million from him.

And he thinks it's her.

David can't believe he nearly fell for a thief. Nor does he care about her excuses. The evidence is clear. Her past condemns her. She's a liar; the end.

So why can't he stop hoping she's innocent?

But if she is innocent, then who is the real thief? Why are they after Lacy? And why does he feel compelled to protect Lacy no matter the cost?

Enjoy this fast-paced, enemies-to-lovers, clean romance with a good dose of mystery and suspense that you won't be able to put down!

AI voice

I wanted to see how it would be. Sadly it ruined the story. I think the story itself is cute and the voice used was beautiful. However, it reminded me of the second grader who just reads the words to get the book done. It has some changes to the voice but it was so difficult at times to figure out which character was speaking since the voice was all the same. Some places where it should have been lots more emotion it was dead. Again cute storyline and it was fun to hear how the voice generated was presented. But nothing beats a good storyteller and their various voices and emotions.

Great book. Kept me enthralled every minute. Great characters. Love the way she developed David and Lacey.

AI voice is terrible

Story was ok, but the AI voice ruined it. It’s like a child reading-no emotion or inflection, poor pacing, awkward. I will avoid all future AI voiced books.
