Lone Star Odyssey

After over 20 years in the USMC and coming off a five-year tour as a contractor in Afghanistan, all Talon Clark wanted to do was spend time with his kids and wife on his ranch in Texas. Occasionally, taking a short-term contract job to pay the bills, Talon is marooned in Washington, DC, when the nation is attacked by a series of false flag operations against our infrastructure and is then devastated by a series of EMP attacks. With every major city burning and the nation’s electrical grid down, civil order has deteriorated to the point of no return, at least for the immediate future.

After dealing with terrorist attacks and an EMP attack on America's infrastructure, Talon finally thought he was on his way home. But the tragic death of one of his team has the rest of the groups morale low and everyone is feeling sorry for themselves. The latest encounter with a terrorist cell has inadvertently bought Talon's group to the attention of the Iranian Supreme Command. Which in turn has declared war on Talon's group and ordered other Iranian assets to hunt down and destroy Talon's group.

Escaping Northern Virginia, Talon and his small group of survivors are now confronted with the challenge of rescuing the rest of their group. With the country in complete chaos, the choices they make will determine their next steps. With enemies closing in, Talon must decide to stay and fight to help out his friends, or if he should just walk away and head to his family. Choices always have consequences.

Wounded while retaking the Armory, Talon's recovery is slow and painful. Unaware that his family in Texas are having to deal with similar situations from within their own community. With still no action or assistance from the Federal or State governments, each community must deal with daily shortages of their basic needs. Civilization and civility have been replaced with every person for themselves. Lawlessness and chaos are the new normal. Large population centers have for the most part become unsustainable.
