Publisher's summary

Life with a narcissist is daunting, harrowing, and unpredictable. He is self-absorbed, self-sufficient, and self-serving. He is haughty, arrogant, and oblivious to your wishes, desires, dreams, and goals. He is rude and envious toward others. He has terrible behavior and even worse manners. He is untrustworthy and incapable of any true and consistent feelings worthy of anyone else's attention.

Life with a narcissist is all-consuming, isolated, and draining. He is lacking any adult skills or abilities to meet another person's needs, and so he misbehaves and acts out in order to take your attention away from his all-consuming deficits. He is truly only half of a man - and maybe that is generous. He often falls through on his responsibilities to you, up to and including simply meeting your sexual needs.

Why do women run to these men in droves? What causes them to drop at the feet of narcissists, seemingly begging for their punishment and negative behaviors?

This book seeks to define the deficits that are often present in the woman who seeks out or inadvertently falls prey to a petty narcissist. The narcissist seeks out only specific types of women, and he turns a blind eye to others. There are only certain types of women who have a deficit or an overinterest in dating emotionally immature men such as narcissists. We seek to define these in order to bring a broader knowledge to those who suffer at the hands of narcissists and why narcissists seek out these types for their amusement.

Married to the narcissist

Well I recently discovered that my husband has some addiction issues, and is also a narcissist. This ebook helped me understand which one of 12 women I am. This has a lot of helpful information on the types of women these narcissist’s seek. Not only could I find myself in this, but I could also pick out the couple other women he was with before. Overall I would say it’s worth the listen, if you’re looking for some personal insight on why the hell you pick these men.

Simple to the point. Enough to raise an eyebrow.

Love the "just how it is" attitude and short enough to repeat, take notes and dig into another avenue of recovery. Easy what's wrong. Makes it easier to discover what could be right.

I loved it

This is a very helpful step in validating what I’ve already learned about my journey to healing and knowing myself better so I won’t succumb to narcissists in the future. Years of studying and yet I still find this book so good to hear. I don’t understand why other people really complained about this book. They must be expecting the book to solve their problems or are in denial of accepting how their own personality plays a major part in attracting narcissists. It’s not about victimizing yourself at all, that’s quite absurd. It’s about enlightening you to what attracts the narcissists and what traps people into attracting them, there’s a big difference between that and acting as a helpless victim.
