About this listen

When the home of Alex Cross's oldest friend, Ellie Cox, is turned into the worst murder scene Alex has ever seen, the destruction leads him to believe that he's chasing a horrible new breed of killer. As Alex and his girlfriend, Brianna Stone, become entangled in the deadly Nigerian underworld of Washington D.C., what they discover is shocking: a stunningly organized gang of lethal teenagers headed by a powerful, diabolical man--the African warlord known as the Tiger. Just when the detectives think they're closing in on the elusive murderer, the Tiger disappears into thin air. Tracking him to Africa, Alex knows that he must follow. The narrators are right on. The book is awsome.

Would you consider the audio edition of Cross Country to be better than the print version?

I love audio books because the narrators make you feel you are in the book. The music adds a great feature.

What did you like best about this story?

As usual James Patterson keeps you intreged. Who will win Alex Cross or the kiiller.

What does Peter J. Fernandez and Dion Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Absoulutely. The Voice of Peter Fernandez is exactly what you would think Alex Cross' voice would be like Dion Graham is also right on.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The reacation I had with this book was just suspense. It did not make me laugh or cry.

Same old, same old

Same format as previous Cross books. Too repetitive. Patterson need to be less predictable, more creative in his format.

James Patterson Overall

I really liked the book. I have been reading a lot of James Patterson. I've read all the Women's Murder Club Series and now focusing on the Alex Cross series. He does not disappoint!

A DIFFERENT DR. CROSS

The same great author, the same great narrator, the splendid Cross family and friends but it is different. A chaotic ramble of brutal surprizes. Found the story weak and the telling strong. I was left with mixed emotions about the plot and the tale. It should have had more cohesivenss and less ramble. It is an OK book.

Cross Country

This was a book that I found myself constantly hoping that it would get better soon. Not terrible but not that great either.

James Patterson

What would have made Cross Country better?

Going back to the old writing of Alex Cross the new one is a woman

Would you ever listen to anything by James Patterson again?

NO

What didn’t you like about Peter J. Fernandez and Dion Graham ’s performance?

Their voices did not help the book

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment

Any additional comments?

I used to be huge James Patterson fan, but he new books are to close to the Womens Mystery Club or whatever it is called. This book was totally unbelieveable, and made Alex Cross seem like a woman.

A some what interesting tale

This book outlines an interesting story line, but the outcome of several scenarios is unrealistic and disconnected with the characters the writer has tried so hard to build.

EXTREMELY VIOLENT and GRAPHIC

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story is good but it is so violent and graphic that it was uncomfortable to listen too.
