Probably a 4 star READ, but only a 3 star LISTEN

First off, I actually really appreciate the author taking a stab at addressing AI in the context of data privacy. There are not too many other books that are doing this.

As a note in my title. I would not recommend this on audible, but I suspect it would be a really good Kindle or hardcopy.

I also think this would be good for someone who is rather green to this field. If you’re relatively brand new to privacy, and especially if you don’t have any foundations in AI lingo, I think this would be a good book for you.

If you’ve been doing this for awhile, then while There are some parts of the book that will be of value, I don’t think you’ll find much new under the sun here.

Personally, my big issue with this book is how repetitive a lot of the parts are. There’s only so many times I wanted to hear the definitions of homomorphic encryption, federated privacy, differential privacy, etc.

Once again, if you’re new to data privacy and AI, maybe you need to hear that a lot. But geez Louise, listening to it got painful near the end.

Once again, I would take a stab at the Kindle or hardcopy version. Given the number of lists the author notes throughout the audible version, it’s hard to keep track sometimes of what’s being covered.
