It's Time to Completely Master Your Ego

By letting go of your ego, you will not only feel like a completely different person, but will also empower your life in every way possible.

There are many misconceptions about the human ego. Some tie an over-reaching ego to success, arrogance, and other behaviors. Is it that simple? Ego is really the sum of the false ideas that we have about self. These beliefs are formed early in life, reside in the subconscious, and have an incredibly strong influence on our thoughts, actions, and emotions. When ego ideas rule your life, you are prevented from both seeing and living up to your true nature.

What you'll learn:

  • What's Behind the Curtain
  • Why Your Ego Is Deceptive
  • Why Ego has Influence over You
  • How to Prevent Influence of Your Ego
  • Why Ego Can Prevent Us from Reaching Success

ego control, but holistic, not scientific

I was looking for a bit more scientifically grounded perspective on this subject. The narration is ok and it's a quick listen, just about an hour. not my thing but if it is, go for it.

General information

I was looking for more detailed information about the ego. I wasn’t interested in alternative medicine and the different types that exist.

Very Insightful

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes x 10. The ego is so pervasive in our lives; In fact I firmly believe that most people who are incarcerated for crimes have let their ego control them and destroy them. Another book along this line is called Ego is the Enemy.

What did you like best about this story?

Educational about the ego.

What about Jim Vann’s performance did you like?

Gifted speaker.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes - more than one; Especially how the ego attacks you.

Not much

Very high level and superficial. I didn't get much from it. I wanted more examples.
