About this listen

Instant New York Times Bestseller!

“With Jane Smith, Alex Cross has reason to be jealous” (Good Morning America). Hard to Kill features James Patterson’s greatest character yet–a tough-as-nails attorney up against a relentless killer.

Attorney Jane Smith is mounting an impossible criminal defense.

Her client, Rob Jacobson, is the unluckiest of the unlucky. No sooner is he accused of killing a family of three in the Hamptons than a second family is gunned down.

It’s not double jeopardy. It’s not double murder. It’s double triple homicide.

Jane’s career has spanned from NYPD beat cop to Hamptons courtroom. She’s tough to beat. She’s even tougher to kill.

The defense may never rest.

Good story, way too many characters to keep track of!

I really struggled with the author’s fluency and intonation. As a reading teacher, I would like to listen to a book read appropriately. The story was good, It would have kept my interest more if I didn’t have to keep track of so many different characters, too many!

Great story, needs another book to finish series

I couldn’t get through this book fast enough. It kept me on the edge of my seat, but still lots of questions at the end…waiting for the next book.

So much like book 1

This book was far to much like the 1st book. Fine but hardly with paying for. Get from your library.

Jayne is a flawed character

Jayne decisions incongruent with character. Very ordinary for this genre. Abit to much meaningless chatter between characters. Author has better novels.

Good story

I liked this storyline. Although it left several unanswered questions. Hopefully, there will be another book to clear everything up. I also liked Eva Kaminski's narration.

Drifting decibels

The audiobook reader would often decrease the volume of her voice at the end of a sentence so that many parts were unintelligible. It made it difficult to follow the story.
