Guideposts

Would you listen to Inspirience: Meditation Unbound again? Why?

When I first read Richard's first book, "The Unbound Soul", my eyes were opened to the untapped potentials that reside within all of us. I was inspired to deepen my journey in a simpler but profound way. I find his new book to be astonishingly practical, leading the reader through simple meditation techniques without dogma, without unattainable requirements of countless hours of practice and study. All that is asked is that we bring ourselves fully to each practice and to be aware of the jewels that unfold, whatever they may be. In an age of countless spiritual teachers and teachings, it is refreshing to find individuals who are committed to merely serving as guideposts for the rest of us to unfold what is already within.

Great Read

This read was awesome. You have a positive outlook on life whilst also feeling so refreshed after reading. I was really inspired in the aspect that no matter what life throws at you, your mind is what really will determine everything. Meditation is peace. And peace is key.

Beautifully written and helpful!

This book was surprisingly captivating. The author takes the reader through an immersive journey with wonderful storytelling, and the lessons within are helpful. There are many creative ways listed for you to go about your meditation, enabling the reader to not be afraid to find what they are most comfortable with. Being a spiritual book, I was worried about religious bias, but was refreshed by the lack of religion-specific tangents. There was one singular time that "poisonous" ways of thinking were described in which I felt the opposite as the author, which struck me as against a stated goal of releasing negative thought processes. However, my complaints are minor and personal, and this novel was enjoyable. I walked away feeling inspired, not only by the writing but the narrator's cool, calm delivery of the lines. This author's ability to both captivate and teach new concepts to an audience is powerful.

Simple and Practical Techniques for Meditation

I really enjoyed listening to this wonderful book. The author does not present himself as some sort of guru. He is forthcoming about the errors he made along the way to discovering simple and effective meditation techniques that anyone can do.
One does not need to set up an altar or light candles or sit in a certain position or meditate for long periods of time while trying to shut out obtrusive thoughts to benefit from the techniques outlined by the author. This book is not a gateway to having to join some sort of pricey exclusive "club". It is simple, effective, enjoyable knowledge available to anyone, whether new to or experienced with meditation.

Wonderful book audiobook!

This is a wonderful book for those wanting to begin meditation on an introductory level or for the more experienced in the art of meditation. The author shares his own personal story as he discovers “Isness” and teaches the reader how to incorporate this methodology into their own practice of meditation.

Learning to transform ourselves and lose restrictions on our perception of life is essential to reduce stress through meditation. This new practice has been beneficial for my personal well being in lowering my blood pressure and helping me unplug from my busy life.

I recommend this book to anyone needing help to control stress and anxiety in their life and get a healthy balance.

A very different, but valid approach

If you could sum up Inspirience: Meditation Unbound in three words, what would they be?

Unique, deep, and clever.

Any additional comments?

This book about seeing the truth is original for a Western mind, and at times it may seem as political nonsense. However, it is my belief that this is both true and deep from a person who had not had any teachers from any major lineages and instead found the truth from his Japanese influences and openness to nature. Most importantly it offers a deep alternate approach to mindfulness training.
