Publisher's summary

How can you keep your faith in people after seeing the flaws of the American justice system? Juror #11 exposes the flaws and weaknesses in the American justice system from the perspective of a murder trial juror who endured months of trauma, the threat of jail, and thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees because of them.

The author, an adoptive mother of children from trauma and an advocate for other child and adult victims of society, was a victim herself, but because of her strong faith and many years of experience fighting the legal system for others, emerged as a victor. You will be amazed at the number of traumatic events that occurred during five hellish months of her life. And you will be inspired by her courage, selflessness, and steadfastness through it all. In this book, you will learn:

  • Our American justice system is flawed
  • You can rise out of great tribulations in your life
  • Having faith doesn't "fix" your problems
  • Loving people is one of the most important things we can do in this life

Her story is one of indestructible hope rising out of the ashes of tragedy.

If you like courtroom drama and stories of people overcoming trials and tribulations, you will love Juror #11.

What a story!

I had the pleasure of having Katrina on my podcast, Unloaded & Uncovered w/Magda Desir and she mentioned this book. I said I had to read it and man, was it good! I’m definitely going to recommend this to people I know. It flowed oh so effortlessly and it was a great read. I have to get a physical copy signed by Katrina ASAP!

Wow! I had to keep listening!

What a riveting memoir. I'm in awe of all the author has gone through in her personal life and in regard to the trial she sat on --and the commensurate misery that followed. God bless her for all she has done for others. There is a gift in every situation, and one may not find out what it is until later.-:)

Read this, listen to it, and share it. Overcoming all and rising like the Phoenix!

Real Life, Emotional, Justice System Issues

Being asked to serve on a jury can be time-consuming, draining, and confusing. Being selected to serve on a jury to pass judgment on another requires trust in the system. One woman, known to be an advocate for her son and others with the legal system finds herself caught in the middle of a mistrial because of her honesty and faith. Facing jail herself for creating the mistrial she has months to await her trial and possible conviction.

The author and narrator, Katrina Robertson voices her experience with the legal system in two different situations. The first is the advocate for her adopted children and others with the legal system helping them find the needed support. The second serves as a juror for a woman accused of murder. What Katrina discovers and now exposes is how severely the American justice system is defective and that faith will not fix the problems, but it helps to keep one centered and focused on what needs to be done.

Katrina’s performance as a narrator is good and indicates that this is a heartfelt experience she needed to share. It is clear from beginning to end that her courage, compassion, and determination drive her to help those in need.

This is an interesting audiobook that is moving and informative. Further, it is confirmation to many that there are severe needs within the justice system that must be addressed.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook.

Like You and Me, but in 3D

Katrina Robertson is highly unique on every level: personally a pastor's wife and mother of 5 children, professionally a well-respected financial consultant, spiritually a woman of deep and abiding faith, and patriotically a strong citizen, who loves and believes in the this country and its principles.

She is like you and me, but in 3D. She goes above and beyond in every area and does so by walking every day with God. She faced challenges by the legal system in 2022 that were more than anyone could imagine. As juror number 11, she served on a jury in a murder trial. Through a complicated series of events, she then faced her own trial in a Contempt of Court case. This is her story in her words, read by herself.

I urge everyone in America to read or listen to this book and imagine walking in her shoes. I was mesmerized by her story, her emotions, her situation and her raw courage to face each day in faith and obedience to God with love in her heart for others. She shares the reality of faith in God applied to life, in a way that shows the reader how to do this by following her example. Kristina Robertson is a hero on many levels and she is my hero.

God is our only righteous Judge

What a harrowing experience despite the author’s attempt to do good and provide aid to so many. We know our judicial system is broken but Juror #11 sheds new light on this fact. Katrina Robertson kept me on the edge of my seat to learn of her fate alongside the verdict for the defendant. It is clear that her faith in God and the love and support from friends and family allowed her to hold her head high and rise above the constant chatter and noise. Whether you choose to read Juror #11 or listen to it on Audible, you will ride the roller coaster of emotions felt during any of life’s trials.

Interesting but…

Interesting story, but the author is not willing to take responsibility for her mistakes. I’m sure she’s a nice lady. She tries to do the right thing and has been through a lot.

I am an audiobook girl through and through but I would have enjoyed this more as a book. The production value is terrible. It’s like it was recorded on an iPhone and features many mispronounced words.
