Publisher's summary

Our lives and our minds have gotten cluttered. Stress and anxiety have become a part of our lives. Even the things that should bring joy and happiness in our lives become a reason for sorrow. This is a sorry state of affairs, and it must change. If you are also feeling the same frustrations in your life, then this audiobook is just for you.

This audiobook unlocks the mystery of minimalism and the ways it can help in making our lives more joyful and meaningful. It illustrates the ways in which other cultures have been able to incorporate the principles of minimalism successfully and have benefited from them. It explains the ways in which excess of everything is taking a toll on our happiness and making us gloomy and sad. It brings to light the ways in which our indulgences are taking us toward debt and stress. It highlights the ways in which we are adding to the global waste at our expense, the ways in which we are paying to become unhappy.

Minimalism is misinterpreted as the way of the monks. In reality, minimalism is the way to accept those things that bring joy and value in life and shun those things that lead to stress. It is a path of joy and stability. Minimalism opens the door of financial freedom for you. It helps you in becoming financially independent and saving money for the future. It shows the path to become more self-reliant and relevant.

Minimalism also helps you in looking for joy in the right places. It helps you in setting your priorities and becoming more focused. It is a way to gain fulfilling relationships and have the luxury to devote as much time to your relationships as they deserve. It helps you in finding true happiness in things that truly matter.

In this audiobook, you will find:

  • The ways Japan has incorporated minimalism in its culture
  • The ways it is prospering with the concept of "less is more"

Don’t listen to racist review.

This is a brief but good summary of Japanese Minimalism. Recommend buying outright vs using a credit. Under $5. About an hour long.

There is nothing wrong with this narrator. Don’t listen to the other reviewer. If you are worried about it then listen to the audio sample.

I got a lot from this and will re-listen again.

Great Content, terrible reader

the wisdom of this book is watered down by the ghetto reader, Cliff, who infuses the reading with ghetto-black slang, aka, improper pronunciation of MANY MANY words. the readers lack of education is on full display, leaving the listener feeling short changed. The reader makes outright ERRORS, which are then followed by an audible beep, and then, the corrected dialog. WTF!?!? Lazy editing! Cliff's editing studio must be in the ghetto, if he thinks that's ok, but it ain't, homeboy!!! You gotta ta minimize yo ebonics and maximum yo propa English, son. Shame on you, Audible. Fire Cliff.
