An insightful approach to a complex topic

Bev A. Lanier has obviously had some first-hand experience with autism and delivers an insider’s perspective of someone who has thoroughly researched and compiled together a wonderful title such as this that is sure to empower parents everywhere who are looking for up to date strategies and methods for helping their families. One of the best things about this book (in my opinion) is the fact that the author has taken great lengths to emphasize the importance of actually recognizing when behavior could potentially point to autism–a factor that I feel so many other titles within what I call the “cognitive self-help informational” niche overlook, which does make sense as many authors assume the reader has already gone through the diagnosis steps (but not all of us have!). Making this a great title for those looking to educate themselves about autism who may only suspect it in themselves or family members. Another factor I appreciated about this title was the positive focus on how autism has helped the parent’s lives. This was such a cool approach to the topic. Packed with so much useful, positive, and insightful informational that is both helpful and up to date.
