Deep Characters and Incredible World-building

This entire series kept me glued till the end, I couldn't put it down. It was a truly pleasant surprise. I don't expect much from Audible originals, but every now and then there are true gems hidden. This is one of those. I was deeply invested in each of the characters. It's a fantasy trilogy, but it felt so very real and believable. For reference on taste preference, I normally read Sanderson and other epic fantasies.

WELL WORTH A LISTEN!

I started this trilogy with some trepidation but it was replaced rather quickly by the tremendous hook of a tightly woven, albeit intricately detailed plot that kept me listening long after I should have stopped for some much needed sleep!
The narrative was splendidly performed with just enough attention to differing character’s vocal characteristics that everyone could be easily recognized.
An exceedingly well written and performed work of unexpected science fiction and fantasy.
I hope to see more gold nuggets like this coming to the “free” side of Audible Books even though I subscribe to the Plus platform. Word of mouth does work! I have gotten three avid “readers” to subscribe just to break things up!

Good

I thought this book was the best out of all of them in the series. It was definitely a good ending to this series. When I first started this series, I had a feeling that the three main characters of this series were going to come together at the end, which they definitely did in his book. It took them a while, but they actually did finally come together. The only thing that didn’t really make sense to me was the fact that the stormborn we’re going to have to move off of their island and over near the airborne because Bela accidentally released dragons into the world. I don’t feel that any moving off of one island to another, is going to help keep dragons away they’re going to find them no matter where they go. The King in this book finally got what he deserved because he was such a jerk. Of course, there were other people in his book that were jerks as well and they pretty much got what they deserved to. Unfortunately for Bela and the other two main women characters, they did not get the happy ending they wanted either. I guess that’s what happens in war. I did like the end of this book, it was good.

Great use of the English language. The words painted an amazing world

Amazing book with lots twist, interns ups and downs. Well worth the time. The author takes you on a journey to the New World. It makes you think about the life you live in the way we live it.

What a bitter Sweet Story

I wouldn’t say that it was a wonderful, happy ending, but I would say I am so glad that was peace (tho temporary) at the end

There they are...

I'm not crying. I was cutting onions. Truly a great close to a series. Would have loved the chance to see the after events but that's just me being greedy. Again, excellently done.

A lot better than i thought.

This story ( the trilogy as a whole) was better than i was expecting. Great world building and characterizations. The narrator was fairly good. Only a couple characters sounded too similar. But with a large cast that is to be expected. My only real complaint is that the narration voice came across as bland and monotone- especially book 2. Making it easier to not really listen and pay attention to what’s happening… but overall i highly suggestion the series.
