About this listen
Headphones recommended.
Allow yourself to relax as a loving maternal figure combs, brushes, and braids your hair, then pins it up with ribbons. Throughout, she warmly reminisces about her own childhood while admiring you and your hair in the mirror. Whisperlodge is a pioneering New York-based company that performs live ASMR events around the country. Their collaboration with us is the first time they've allowed their work to be recorded, and you can now experience the talent of their renowned ASMRtists at home.
Due to its ability to deeply relax the mind and body, ASMR has become a source of calm and pleasure for millions. Listen and see if it triggers your autonomous sensory meridian response, a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine.

Story
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Ghosts don't exist in our world of today. Life is too pragmatic, too consuming, too busy for past lives to linger on longer than their allotted time, or so Halcyon had believed, until she received a letter from a lawyer claiming that her mother, whom she had thought long dead, had actually been living in another part of the country since Halcyon's early childhood. She had only recently passed away, leaving Halcyon heir to an unexpected fortune and an estate on an isolated island in the middle of the Great Lakes.

Shortly after they arrive, things begin to turn ominous.

this says optional. but then you require it.
This one was not as good as a previous sleep story that I listened to. this one has a lot of noises in it. it makes the story more believable and it goes from one ear to the other ear, but it's very distracting and I think helped to keep me awake. the whispering voice is also rather creepy, but is intended to relax you, but I found it creepy.

Was not sure, then I woke up
I was unsure about how I felt about this one until I woke up. I was on duty and had to sleep on a hard floor so I decided to use this to help me fall asleep since I was going to get 4 hours of sleep at the most. I did not want to waste a minute. At first the whispering voice came across as creepy to me but as the story went on I focused on the storyline and the other noises. Next thing I know I am waking up because my hip hurt from the hard ground and I had to change positions.

not good
the sound effects are so extreme that they arent relaxing at all. i cracked up laughing over the aggressive spray bottle sound that went on forever and then had to call it quits when it sounded like a pumice stone on velvet as she "gently" combed your hair w a wide tooth comb.

Triggers are good, voice acting is not great.
The triggers are good, sound quality is crisp and clear. The storyline is relaxing. This narrator has a nice voice, but stiff and unconvincing voice acting. Maybe look into popular ASMR artists from YouTube to narrate future offerings like this.

Loud props
I am a diehard ASMR fan. But, this just didn’t make sense. The performer was fine. It wasn’t a bad story line. But the shrill sound of the snipping scissors was awful. I felt more tense after the couple of minutes of fast snipping sounds. I had to finally skip past it. Then it was a blow dryer. A blow dryer should never be incorporated into ASMR. I was wide awake and irritated. Seems like such a rookie mistake. And I love the Whisper Lodge audios!

not exactly....
Although the voice is quite calming, the sounds are so unrealistic. The hair cutting sounds like someone is just ripping paper or using a knife sharpener. The sounds are also pretty creepy, like the comb that she uses at the beginning. I also cant tell if the voice is a boy or a girl. Overall it’s pretty weird.

Freaky
This was very unsettling to me. I tried to listen for about 10 minutes but it was just too much!
