A Thoughtful Exploration of Neurodiversity

This book gave me a much deeper understanding of autism and neurodiversity. It highlights the strengths and struggles of those on the spectrum and opened my eyes to the importance of self-expression and acceptance. I appreciated the compassionate approach and the focus on embracing neurodiversity rather than just seeing it as a challenge. If you’re looking to understand autism better or support someone in your life who is neurodiverse, this book is a must-read!

Autism Explained

This book explains what autism is, the strengths and abilities, as well as the challenges and struggles, of being autistic. It also goes over the social aspect, including navigating relationships and entering the workforce. As this book is written directly for those diagnosed with autism, the 'community and advocacy,' and 'coping mechanisms' sections lend important support. It helps the autistic person understand their condition, embrace it, and live a normal life.

A Real Eye Opening Approach to Autism

I'll be honest: I had very little understanding of autism and neurodiversity before this book. From the very first chapter, I gained a clearer grasp of the challenges and strengths of being autistic. I appreciated the empathetic approach and the celebration of neurodiversity, overcoming stereotypes in the movies and news. I particularly enjoyed the meditations and coping mechanisms explained and taught to allow transition into future relationships and jobs. A very intelligent book!
