Parents need to listen to this

This audiobook was an interesting listen. I am not a parent, but I enjoyed listening to the author's thoughts on parenting young adults. I agree with the tips on balancing support with giving them space. It is important for parents to approach conversations with their kids without overstepping. As someone who has passed the young adult stage not too long ago (ok, maybe it was awhile ago depending on your perspective), I recommend this audiobook so you can get practical ideas to maintain a good and strong parent-adultchild relationship.

Super insightful!

There are plenty of things that I’ve never thought about when it comes to parenting my so as he ages. There are a lot of things he still has to learn, but thinking that parenting is done once they’re 18 is far from true. There are still lots of conversations that need to be had about finances and other such things and this book has prepared me for things I haven’t thought about before.

Great content!

This audiobook provides great content for any parents that are approaching or in the young adult years. I appreciated the focus on relationships with the family and how to handle the relationship between parents and children. Lots of great tips and guidance on fostering independence, on top of providing the right amount of support. I'm sure everyone can take a few take aways from this one.

Family blood

This book is super useful both for young and old generations. It dives deeper into conflict resolution and communication skills between parents and their young adult kids. This book helps to ease into that transition stage between childhood and adulthood and create strong meaningful bonds.

Encouraging

Conflict is inevitable, especially during this phase, but the way the book reframes it as an opportunity for growth is refreshing. I really enjoyed this.
