It works
What made the experience of listening to Stop Smoking Forever the most enjoyable?
It was hypnosis but I will say I was out by the time the count was to number five. It was relaxing and I always felt safe.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The narrator was informative in the beginning as to the dangerous chemicals and the hazards of smoking.
What does Glenn Harrold bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Glenn Harrold's voice is very, very soothing and reassuring. I love all of his work.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. And have listened to it more than once.
Any additional comments?
If you are serious about stopping smoking then this works. It shoulld be liistened to once a day for as long as needed but, if you really are intent on quitting, this works. Good luck!

It worked for me!
I purchased this audiobook being very skeptical of how well it would work (if at all). I had read many various reviews on it on several websites before making the decision to purchase. It seems as though the main complaint is the man's Cockney accent, which my husband (who is British) found irritating as well (and compared it to Dick Van Dyke's character in Mary Poppins trying to hypnotize you). Myself, as an American, born and raised here, I found nothing wrong with his accent - to me it made no difference what part of the UK he was from, because the recording actually WORKED and his voice didn't make me the least bit irritated.
The only parts that were annoying to me was the 80's style synthesizer music (UGH!! Get a symphony or something), and the rapid pace of the recording - he could have slowed his speech a bit, and taken more time to get the user into trance.
With that being said, I listened to it the first night I purchased it at night when I went to bed. The next day, I didn't think it had done much, or at least I didn't NOTICE anything out of the ordinary. So I listened to it the second night...and I started noticing that I had NO desire for a cigarette (I was a smoker for 14 years), and like he makes you say in the recording - The smell of cigarette smoke repulsed me! I thought the "repeat after me" bits on the tape were a bit hokey, but they really work.
I recommend this recording to anyone trying to quit smoking, however it will ONLY work if you really WANT to quit smoking, with no doubts in your mind. Good luck!!

Needed More...
For a first pass this can be initially inspiring, but when you are quitting smoking you need more. A lot more. I understand the need for repetition, but there are many facets to stopping such a horrific addiction and I didn't feel this covered mind, body and soul and affirmations that can carry you through the long haul. Mr. Harrold's technique is flawless, which warranted the rating of 2, but lacked significantly in substance with respect to kicking an addiction and all that it entails.

Didn't work
This is very personal and difficult to rate. The recording is professional but the voice grates. The reader has a slight cockney accent, certainly not flat received prononciation (the Queen's english if you may), which makes him sound like someone trying to sell me a used car at an east London market stall. Ok I am labouring the point, but the content would have been much more powerful if he had used a professional reader with a pleasant voice. Regional accents are fine in some circumstances, but not here and not for an international audience. Hypnosis requires the most subtle communication and is weakened by the reader's vowells and stacatto diction.

Superb
I was a little concerned about getting this because that snobby brit's review busted on Glenn Harold's accent. In fact, I'm from California and I find his tonality and pronunciation to be quite mellifluous. Overall, it's an extremely well-produced piece of self-hypnosis that helped me quit (finally) and also gain greater control of my mind in general.

Stop Smoking Forever
It really works! The morning after listening to this session I had no desire to smoke! Furthurmore, one of my coworkers lit up a cigarette and it smelled awefull. Totally disgusting. I never experienced any physical withdrawal, which is amazing, and I have not had the slightest urge to smoke since my initial listening nine days ago. There is no easier way to quit smoking, period

Really, RELLY works...
Glen does Wonderful on all his works. This one was no exception. I downloaded it for myself then started using some of the main ideas for my own practice with private clients. It worked beautifully in all occasions. I would certainly recommend this work to all those who wish to quit smoking because he gets to the place in the depts. of our mind that respond to the cause of the habit, and it drops off easily. Excellent work and his voice is so incredibly soothing to the soul.

I found this tape very helpful. I do listen every day. Although I have not completly stoped smoking I have cut back from a 2 pack aday to half a pack. I have smoked for over 40 years and for me to cut back this much and not miss the amount I was smoking is realy great. I think as long as I listen ever day I will completly quite. Thank you for making this tape...
