I'm constantly amazed

Over the years, I have developed a healthy appreciation for the razor sharp, creative, impish mind of Neil Gaiman. I try to enjoy a broad range of authors, but a new work by Mr. Gaiman never ceases to peak my interest and very, very rarely disappoints. That said, I can't imagine what it must be to propose converting a graphic concept piece, like The Sandman, into a spoken word work of art. That's just what has happened in this offering. Thankfully for all of us who chose to spend our 13 hours in thie variety of worlds created by these talented people. I have to imagine that each and every one of these A list actors chuckled softly to themselves, quietly acknowledging that this is why they chose to do what they do. Gaiman is likely the pinnacle of creative minds to me, who has, once again, crafted a timeless gem. The actors were masterful. It kind of makes me think what it must have felt like for my relatives, before tv, huddling around the radio for a new installment of their favorite show. It's just so good! I want to bottle Neil Gaiman's psyche and love of mythology and sprikle it in my morning coffee. I couldn't have liked it more. Now, I want them to craft a graphic novel so I can see how my dream gets interpreted again and again. This might rival American Gods and that's saying a whole lot!

I usually don't need written reviews but really well done and worth listening to the first one was free then it got me all tucked in there and I just wanted to hear the next one it kind of got a little I don't know out there at the end that's what I was going for if you write 4 in stuff about God's all that it's pretty interesting. worth the listen

Sandman Saga continues

Beautifully performance and structure. I'll never gets tired of Neil Gaimans interpretations and storytellings. Can't wait for more of the Sandman saga. The layers and character development are astounding. I'll be suggesting these titles to anyone that'll listen to me tell them.

Immersive

Loving this as much as the first book, but I don’t get why the Aesir/Norse Gods have Scottish accents? Just seems like a weird trope to follow when there’s so much attention to detail everywhere else in the story and in the voice acting. Maybe I’m just weird, but Thor and Odin sounding like William Wallace is just really hard to get past.

Loved it!

Great narration by the author and amazing voice acting from all the cast! An excellent follow up to the first installment. I only hope they keep it going for more sequels and content. Highly recommend this.

Really really well done

I admit I only read the first volume of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman. I enjoyed it but wow do the stories get better and better. This audio production is amazing. All the voice actors are great and Neil’s narration is not at all difficult on the ears. I could probably listen to him read a dictionary and be entertained. I tried listening to another comic series I’m a fan of, and it really needs narration like Mr. Gaiman’s. I listened to the first Act and couldn’t stop. This Act is just as good or even better. I highly recommend. Pretty happy having chosen the first Act as my first Audible choice.

short storied

Act II is definitely geared towards more short stories than Act I. In Act 1, there are some that stretch out over chapters, but Act II jumps a bit more around in timelines before and after those stories.

I kept thinking all of the stories would sync up to find Destruction. But, alas it did not.

Still overall loved it! it had several fun connections to Act I. Loved fleshing out the Endless.
