Story
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

Story
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Story
Ta-Nehisi Coates originally set out to write a book about writing, in the tradition of Orwell’s classic “Politics and the English Language,” but found himself grappling with deeper questions about how our stories—our reporting and imaginative narratives and mythmaking—expose and distort our realities. In the first of the book’s three intertwining essays, Coates, on his first trip to Africa, finds himself in two places at once: in Dakar, a modern city in Senegal, and in a mythic kingdom in his mind.

So important!
Schools don't teach kids about finance and money skills....such a shame. Luckily I came across this audiobook. I play in the car with my kids and make sure they learn these important principles. I certainly wish I had a book like this when I was their age, before I made money mistakes.

I picked up this book for my 16-year-old, and it was worth every penny! The author does a fantastic job of breaking down complex money concepts into simple, actionable steps. Building healthy interactions with money
Vincent Amberly lays down the foundations for building healthy interactions with money from the get go that has the potential to spark into massive compounding (literally) effects in the future. Listeners are met with tons of useful information on budgeting, compounding interest, saving, and teaches what we should have all been taught in the educational system but probably weren’t. Excellent for young readers who want to start putting their funds toward growth stocks and dividend paying ETFs instead of burning through them the moment they get it.

Start early, grow often
The title is right, I really didn't learn this in school. I very strongly wish that I had explored this book much earlier in my life. As a 30 year old now, it has been very complicated as I continue to try to learn all the money skills I need for myself. Having all of the first essential skills here in one place can give any teenager an amazing headstart that will 100% set them up better for their future, whether they want to build a large amount of wealth, or simply understand the money terms that shape much of our world.
