A fresh take

This book offers encouragement to be compassionate to oneself when it comes to stress eating. It focuses on the 20+ reasons for why people eat (besides actual hunger), and as you read, you'll see how a lot of these reasons will apply to you. The book also offers the needed steps to take to begin the journey of stopping the unhealthy relationship we have with food by telling us of becoming aware of why we eat the way we do when we're not actually hungry. The reasons can be from traumatic events to programing from advertisements. It's a quick read that's definitely going to give insight into your eating habits. The fresh take is that strict dieting isn't the answer, and as the book argues, is actually counter productive and may cause more harm than good, and it goes into an alternative method to follow that is more sustainable than strict dieting. It certainly gave me insights and will give you insights as well.
