    In Chapter 3 of Exodus, Moses is leading Jethro's flock near Mount Horeb, where he stumbled upon a burning bush, but the bush wasn't burning up. Moses went to take a closer look, until the voice of God called out to Moses, telling him to not come closer, because he stood on holy ground. God then tells Moses that He has heard the cries of His people and that He has chosen Moses to free His people out of Egypt.

  • The Gospel of Luke - Chapter 2

    In the second chapter of The Gospel of Luke, Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem for the census, only to find there was no room in the inn. Mary then gives birth to her firstborn Son, Jesus, in a stable. Angels appear to shepherds announcing His birth, and the shepherds go to see Jesus, and they spread the Good News to everyone in the town about what had happened. Mary and Joseph take Jesus to the Temple, where Simeon meets them, and he thanks God that he was allowed to see the Child before he died. Later, Jesus is now a 12 year old, where He teaches on the Temple, and after 3 days, His parents find him, and they take Him back to their hometown, where Jesus grows up in wisdom and in favor with God.

  • The Gospel of John - Chapter 19

    In Chapter 19 of The Gospel of John, Jesus is taken to be flogged and is then mocked by the Roman soldiers, calling Him King of the Jews. Jesus is then brought back to Pontius Pilate, and Pilate tries to release Him, but the crowd keeps demanding for His death, and so Pilate reluctantly agrees. Later Jesus is crucified, and dies hours later, knowing that He completed His mission. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus arrive at the place where He was crucified, and they come and carry His body to be buried in a nearby tomb.

    In this second chapter of the Gospel of Mark, four men break down a roof as they bring their paralytic friend down to where Jesus is as He was preaching, and Jesus, seeing their faith, heals the paralytic man, and the man starts to walk. Soon after, Jesus calls the tax collector to follow Him and He has dinner with him in his house, along with other tax collectors and sinners. The Pharisees asked why He did this, and Jesus answers that He didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners.

And Jesus starts His ministry in Galilee and calls His first disciples to follow Him.

As John baptizes Him, the heavens are opened and the Holy Spirit rests on Jesus as a dove, and the voice of God thunders: "This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
